Cousin Adin

We got to see our cousin Adin today at Adam's soccer game. We all enjoyed getting to see him and I was so happy to get to hold him! He is a sweet baby.

Alex the soccer star

I really enjoy playing soccer. Even though my team hasn't won a game yet, that really doesn't matter to me. I know that what is most important is playing my best and having fun. I definitely do that every Saturday!

Night night time

We got to have movie night on Friday at our house. What this means is that we get to set up our sleeping bags upstairs in the gameroom and pick a movie to watch. We then get to sleep in the gameroom in our sleeping bags. It is so much fun. Gracie saw us getting our sleeping bags out and knew we were getting ready for bed. She immediately pulled out a book and sat on the floor next to the sleeping bags so we could read to her! She is a character!

A new friend

At the park, Gracie discovered a new friend, Devon. Devon is a few weeks older than Gracie and they got along famously.

Exploring

Gracie had a great time exploring around the property in Minnesota. She loved the squirrels and all of the acorns she was able to find in the grass.

The whole gang

In Minnesota, Great Uncle Rick and Great Aunt Lynda were gracious hosts to Mommy, Gracie and Gramma Esther. Their daughters, Jenny and Lindsey even came to visit for the day. Here is a picture of all of them together at their home on the lake. Even Lola, Uncle Rick's 120 lb. Beauvier, got in on the picture.

The girls

Here is Great Grandma Margaret with her granddaughters: Mommy, Jenny and Lindsey.

Reading a book

One of Gracie's favorite past times is reading books. She loved it when Grandma Margaret would read to her.

Getting some exercise

Gracie loved Grandma Margaret's walker. She found all kinds of ways to push it, pull up on it and even sit on it.

Gracie and cousin Jenny

This is Gracie and her second cousin, Jenny. They got along really well!

The Land of 10,000 Lakes

This is the state motto for Minnesota. This is their motto for a great reason. There are lakes everywhere!

Gracie's purse

Gracie brought her purse along on the trip. It is one of her favorite things. She was enjoying sharing all of the contents with Great Grandma Margaret.

Apple Orchard on a COLD Day

While in Minnesota, Mommy said that the weather was very cold - in the 40's one day. This was the day they went to the apple orchard. It was such a neat place and Mommy brought us some of our new favorite kinds of apples from there - Honey Crisp. They are delicious! There was a really nice kitty there that Gracie took a fancy to.

Tour of Grandma Margaret's home

Grandma Margaret lives in a beautiful apartment that is in an assisted living facility for seniors. She gave a tour of everything and Gracie loved the bird sanctuary. Here it is in the background.

Meeting Great Grandma for the 1st time

Gramma Esther had been planning this trip for quite some time. She did not tell Great Grandma Margaret that Mommy and Gracie were coming along too. They wanted to surprise Great Grandma and they definitely did. She had no idea that Mommy and Gracie were coming and she was so shocked when Gracie walked in the door to say hello! This was Gracie's first time to meet her one and only Great Grandma Margaret!

Naptime

All of this airport business left Gracie and Gramma Esther very tired. They decided to take a snooze on the plane.

First time to travel by air

Gracie, Mommy and Gramma Esther went to Minnesota to visit our great grandma Margaret. It was Gracie's first time in the airport and she had so much fun. She got to ride the airport tram and her favorite activities were climbing on the chairs at the gate and also looking out the windows at all of the airplanes.

Game Night

We were able to get together with Reli and Bella to play while our parents had fun playing games. Gracie had already gone to bed by the time Ms. Tiff took this picture. It was a wonderful evening and we all had a great time!

Soccer starts again

Adam and I had our first soccer games of the season on Saturday. We are playing with a different league this year that only has 6 players per team. Only 3 of those players play in the soccer game at a time so it makes for a much easier time getting to the ball. Adam has one of his good friends, Aidan, on his team. We all did very well. Adam's game was at 10 in the morning. By the time we played my game at 2pm, the camera was having technical difficulties (I think it was overheated like the rest of us). Hopefully at my next game, the camera will be working again and Mommy can get some good pictures of me in my soccer uniform.

Pizza Day

Every Friday is pizza day at my school. I always buy my lunch on Fridays because I think they have the best pizza ever! Here I am enjoying a slice of the tomato and cheese pie.

Viral Exanthem

Viral Exanthem - medical term for a rash that is caused by a random viral infection.
Poor little Gracie has not been feeling well over the past few days. Yesterday afternoon when she woke up from her nap, she had a rash all over her body. Today the rash became more pronounced and is everywhere including her legs, arms, torso, buttocks and face. Fortunately, she seems to be feeling better and the rash isn't bothering her. It just looks awful! Her doctor thinks it could be Cocksackie virus (better known as hand, foot and mouth disease) but more likely, it is just the remnants of a viral infection that she is getting over. Hopefully this rash will be gone soon and little Gracie will be feeling well again.
