A visit from Anitha

Mommy and Anitha have been friends since they were 12 years old. She comes to Texas every summer to visit her family. They always include a visit to Round Rock when they come. We have come to honor this annual tradition!

Celebrating cousin Cash's 2nd birthday

We had a birthday party at the lake for our baby cousin, Cash, who just turned 2. It was lots of fun for everyone. Gramma Esther made him a special chocolate banana cake.

Visit from our neighbor

Mrs. Prom (Rex to our mommy) came to visit us this summer. She used to live next door to us and then moved to Colorado. Her visit was short but It was so nice to see her again. Here is Mommy with Ms. Danyelle, Ms. Rex, Baby Pierce, and Ms. Maria. Walking buddies! Mrs. Prom used to be Mommy's walking partner. They walked for miles and miles every single morning. Mommy really misses her friend.

Gracie loves to jump and dance around. She will be taking dance classes this fall and she is very much looking forward to it.

After Gracie's haircut

Gracie wants a haircut. She really doesn't enjoy having her hair "fixed" so Mommy is going to bite the bullet today and take her for a haircut. Will post the "after" pictures tomorrow.

Car accident

We had been having a wonderful day with Gramma Esther. We had gone to see Annie and then gone to Amy's for ice cream. Yummy! On our way home from Amy's, a girl driving the silver Accord ran a red light and plowed right into our car while we were turning left on a green arrow. We definitely had a Guardian Angel with us that afternoon because no one was hurt. We were all in the car - Alex, Adam, Gracie, Mommy and Gramma Esther. It could have been so much worse but thankfully it wasn't.

Gracie kept asking, "Mommy, how come you broke the car?" This was scary for her and the boys too but they were all brave little souls. Alex and Adam have come to understand why it is so IMPORTANT to be wearing your seat belt at all times. We have had many conversations about the fact that cars are replaceable but we are not. Thank you, God, for keeping us safe in the accident.

All dolled up for Annie

We went to see Annie with Gramma Esther. It was so much fun and we all loved it. Gracie even took a little nap during the show. Here we are all dressed up and ready to go.

May Crowning of Mary

Alex was honored with the task of carrying the crown for Mary's May Crowning at church on Sunday. He and Josie carried it down the aisle at the beginning of Mass and then crowned Mary. They both did a wonderful job for such a special occasion.

Field Day at the Ranch

Sitting pretty

Gracie sang in her preschool program on the last day of school. She was all dressed up for the occasion.

A night with our friends

We were able to go to our good friends, Aurelia and Arabella's house. Our parents had game night and talked while we played and had fun together. It is always a special treat to get to spend time with them because we don't get a chance to see them very often.

Muffins With Mom

Today, Gracie's preschool had a special Muffins with Mom. It was very sweet and all the moms got to go in and have muffins with the teachers and kids before school started. Here is Gracie with her teacher, Ms. Leda:

It was a big day because after Muffins with Mom, Gracie got to celebrate her birthday with her classmates. She wanted cupcakes with pink frosting. No surprise there...

Mommy does the Skeese Triathlon!

Mommy and her friend Ms. Kristen did their first triathlon together. Way to go!

Alex's First Holy Communion

We celebrated a very special day for Alex on Saturday. He received his First Holy Communion. He has been preparing for it for the last 2 years. We had all of our family with us to celebrate the special event. Alex was very excited and very proud. Gracie was happy that she had another reason to wear her favorite pink dress.
