What's this??

Daddy put up a gate at the bottom of our stairsteps this weekend. Gracie is fascinated with it but cannot quite figure out how to get back up onto that bottom step with the gate in place. I'm sure she's thinking, "What's this? How dare they try to stop me from climbing up there!" So close and yet so far.

Vampire Teeth

I went to Nicole's birthday party on Saturday and I got these pink vampire teeth as a party favor. I've been wearing them all day, even outside to ride my bike. Mommy came upstairs last night to check on me before she went to bed only to find me sound asleep with my vampire teeth in. I really wanted to wear them to school but I know I can't.

Cruisin' is comin' up!

Gracie girl is now able to pull herself up to a standing position not only in her crib but also on just about anything else she is able to grab. Some of her favorite pull-up spots are the rocking chair, couch and bar stools. Daddy had to install a gate at the bottom of our steps yesterday because she is starting to climb up the bottom step.

Comfy and cozy

Here is Gracie sound asleep in her crib. She has her silkie, binkies everywhere, her favorite kitty close by and her warm fuzzy jammies on. What could be any better for a little girl?

Snow Day

Yesterday, we got to go on a kindergarten field trip to Chapparral Ice. It was so much fun. We had been waiting to go to the "place where it snowed" since before Christmas! Mommy, Gracie and Adam came and met me there and Adam and I got to play on the ice and in the snow. It was pretty cool.

Lion King tickets

I have wanted to go and see the Lion King on stage for a long time now. Mommy and Daddy got me tickets to go and see it for my birthday. I am so excited about it! Here I am patiently waiting to get my present on my birthday - with my eyes closed - and then with my Lion King tickets!

Happy Birthday Alex!

I am 6 years old today. It is very exciting being 6 now. I am in kindergarten but am "practicing to be a 1st grader." I am reading very well on my own and learning all kinds of new things every day. We had chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting and sprinkles on them for my birthday celebration at school today. Grandma Kitty and Grandpa Art came over to visit after school and bring me a present. Grandma Esther and Grandpa Jeff are going to take me out to Cracker Barrel for dinner tomorrow night. Wow! Birthdays are great.

Gracie girl goes for a ride

Today, Gracie had her first wagon ride. Our friend Aidan got a new wagon for Christmas and he LOVES to pull it. He was thrilled when Gracie wanted to ride and ride and ride some more. As you can see, Gracie had lots of company in the wagon and Aidan did a great job pulling it for a LONG time.

Miss Tiff and Gracie

Here is Gracie and her Godmama. Mommy says to tell Miss Tiffany, "Thank you very much for all of your help at the party and for taking such good care of Gracie girl during the party." Mommy couldn't have done everything without the help of so many of her good friends.

Cake

It wouldn't be a birthday party without cake and candles to blow out!

Birthday Party Fun!

On Saturday we had my 6th birthday party at a local gymnastics place. There were so many good friends there to celebrate and it was lots of fun. Thank you everyone for coming!

Car chasing

We got some new remote control cars from Gramma Esther, Grampa Jeff and Uncle Buzz. We have been having a great time racing them around in the entryway. Gracie loves to crawl on the floor and try to catch the cars as we race them around.

My new bike

I got a new bike from Santa this year. It is a Mongoose and it's really cool. Since it is so big, Santa left it in the garage. There was a note on the tree telling me to go out to the garage to find my present. It was like a Christmas scavenger hunt.

Merry Christmas!

What a fun Christmas we had this year. We woke up around 6:45am and were thrilled to come downstairs to find a load of new presents from Santa under and around the tree. We of course wanted to rip open all the packages right away but ended up having so much fun with each individual gift as we opened it that it took much longer than we thought it would. Gracie was most happy to just chew on her unopened presents and play with the shredded wrapping paper on the floor. What a wonderful morning.

Nap time

On Christmas Eve, there was so much to do and so much fun to be had that Adam tuckered out late in the afternoon. Actually, Daddy did too!
