2nd grade program

The second graders at school put on a wonderful program for their families. There was lots of singing and even some dancing. The theme of the program was "Career Night." Alex is going to be a computer geek. I know that doesn't surprise you.

2nd grade field trip

Alex's 2nd grade class has been studying about caves and got to take a field trip to Inner Space Caverns. The whole class got to go. Here are Alex and Jacob, one of his best buddies: The rail car ride down into the cave:

A Favorite Place

We took a trip to Sea World during Spring Break. We had a great time but also learned an important lesson: Do not go to Sea World during Spring Break! It was so, so crowded. It was still a fun day though.

Basketball Buddies

Alex had a great time playing basketball for the first time this year. He played on a team through the YMCA called "The Heat."

Goodbye, Oscar. We will miss you!

We had some sad news at our house this week. Alex's beloved hamster, Oscar, died on Thursday morning. Alex was very sad about it but has handled the situation really well. He and Art found a special place in the back yard to bury him. Oscar was a great little guy and we will all miss him. Here are some pictures from when we first brought Oscar home in December of 2007.

Dog Tags for Adam

Adam received 3 dog tags at a special ceremony at school. Each dog tag represents 100 books that he has read! Way to go Adam! Some of his favorite books to read are: It's Not Fair, Green Eggs and Ham, and Go Dog Go! Adam has made significant strides with his reading abilities over the last couple of months. We are very proud of him. We love our little Rooty Toot Tooty!

Blue and Gold Banquet

Alex received his Wolf Badge for Cub Scouts at the Blue and Gold Banquet. There was a delicious bbq dinner, a fun slide show and then Alex got his face painted. It was a long night but also a fun one!

Happy Valentine's Day!

We had a super fun MOMS Club Valentine's Day party! Many of our friends were there and we got to decorate cupcakes, make Valentines and do some fun crafty projects. Lots of love to you!

Birthday slumber party

Alex had 8 of his friends over for his birthday party. They all had a great time playing Star Wars and being goofy.

Alex wanted chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting and star sprinkles.

Bedtime started at 10:15. Everyone was FINALLY asleep by 12:15.

We had to postpone our New Year's Eve tradition by a couple of days. Our good friends Aurelia and Bella and their parents came over to our house for game night. We enjoy their company so much and wish we could see them more. Let that be a resolution for the new year!
