This vacation was Gracie's first experience with the beach. At first she was very unsure and afraid of the beach. It took several days for her to get comfortable with the sand and surf. She loved walking along the beach and picking up sea shells but even this took some coaxing.
Of course, while we were in Alabama, Daddy had to take us to the Museum of Naval Aviation in Pensacola which was only about a 40 minute drive from Gulf Shores. We had a great time testing out all the cockpits and watching the Blue Angels practice overhead.
There were also a couple of pythons that had been rescued. We got to hold the biggest one. He was very gentle and didn't mind all the attention we were giving to him. Even Gracie touched him!
On our 3rd day on vacation we went to this cool alligator farm. They rescue all kinds of alligators and once they are rescued, they live here forever. It really is a nice place for them to be. The biggest alligator there was Captain Crunch who was 18 feet long and 750+ pounds. Wow!
We went on our week long vacation to Gulf Shores, Alabama. It was a beautiful place with really nice beaches. Here we all are after our 12 hour ride in the car. We are hungry and antsy to get out and explore all of this sand!
We are so proud to be Americans. Our country is a great one. We had a neighborhood parade to celebrate the 4th of July. We all wore our red, white and blue. Happy Birthday, America!
We had so much fun decorating our bikes and Gracie's car for our annual 4th of July parade. We went all out this year! Kudos to Daddy for helping us do such a great job.
Our new baby cousin, Adin, was born today! He was 8-2, 19 1/2 inches and perfectly healthy. Mommy got to be in the delivery room when he made his entrance into the world. We have seen pictures of our precious new little cousin and now we cannot wait to meet him! We love you, Adin! Congratulations to Uncle Buzz, Tasha and big brother Tyler.
We have had a lot going on lately. Now that we're all healthy and doing well again, we've been able to enjoy our summer! We're taking swim lessons, Gracie is walking and we're getting ready to go on our vacation to Gulf Shores, AL with our good friends Benjamin and Paige.
We've had to clear out all the lower shelves and ledges thanks to little miss Gracie. Mommy hopes that some day she will be able to put things on her shelves and not have them rearranged by little fingers. Some day. :)
