We were invited up to our friend Laura and David's grandma's house for an Easter Egg Hunt and a party. We had a great time hunting for our eggs in the back yard and then having pizza and cookies for lunch when it was all over. Thank you to Grandma Erma Dee for inviting us to the party!
Yesterday, we had a fun Easter Egg Hunt in our neighborhood. Adam and I did a great job hunting for our eggs and playing with our neighborhood friends. The Easter Bunny was even there!
This afternoon we went on a bike ride with Daddy. Since Mommy really can't ride her bike any more (at least for a little while), Daddy takes us for bike rides and they are one of our favorite things to do. Here is a picture of us in the cul-de-sac after our ride. You can't see Adam but he is riding in the seat on the back of Daddy's bike having a ball.
Here I am at my first soccer game. I did a great job kicking the ball, running and guarding the goal when it was my turn. My good buddy, Wesley, is wearing the red shorts. He and I are so glad to be on the same team together. Go Yellow Jackets!!!
Today we had a busy day of running errands with mom. We had to stop to get a few things for our baby sister and since we were both so good, Mommy let us take a ride on Dino when we were finished shopping. On the way home, Adam fell fast asleep in the car but then was quickly awakened when we got to Target. Boy do we like to go to Target.
Tonight was my first soccer practice. The last 2 practices were cancelled due to rainy and muddy conditions at the field so I was thrilled that we actually got to have practice tonight. All my teammates and I did a great job following the directions and listening to our coach. We even got to have a practice scrimmage afterwards. I sure do love playing soccer. Here is a picture of me dribbling the ball between the cones at practice.
It was so much fun to do the sack races. We were weaving back and forth so it was hard to tell who the winner was but it didn't much matter to us. We enjoyed having fun and being silly with the pillow cases around our legs.
It was lots of fun to have story time in the tent. All of my friends and I listened attentively. One of my best friends, Anna, is sitting right next to me. She always tells her mom that when she and I get older we're going to go on a date. Hmmmmm, what's that??
Today at school we had our annual Western Day party. There were lots of fun activities outside and the weather was beautiful. We got to ride a pretend horse, dress up in our Western clothes, make smores, have stories in the tent, make some fun arts and crafts projects and much more. It was a fun day! I finally got to wear the cowboy boots that Trevor and Riley gave to me. They were a big hit. Yee haw!
On Sunday, some of Mommy's friends and Gramma Esther threw a baby shower for her. Miss Tiffany did a fantastic job decorating with lots of pink! Gramma Esther and Miss Kirsten also did a fantastic job with helping to coordinate everything. Mommy says the shower was one of the best ever and that she is very fortunate to have such nice friends to help her welcome our new baby sister into the world. Thank you so much Miss Tiffany, Miss Kirsten and Gramma Esther for doing such a wonderful job for our mommy and baby sister. They both love you all!
It was such a nice day today. We took advantage of the weather and spent most of the afternoon at the park and in our backyard. We love to ride in the wheelbarrow so Daddy pushed us all over the yard and we had a great time!
Today, I got to go to my new friend Madison's birthday party. It was at my favorite gymnastics place. She is such a nice friend and we will be in kindergarten together in the Fall at the school in our neighborhood.
Today was our team picture day for soccer. This is my first time to play and I am so excited. I did a great job for the pictures and smiled really big for the camera. I think I look pretty great in my new soccer uniform and shoes. The important thing that I keep telling my mom is that in soccer, it's very important not to use your hands but it's OK to use your feet and even your head if you need to.
On Monday, we got to spend the day with our good friend Paige and her mom Ms. Kirsten. In the afternoon, Paige's big brother Benjamin or "Benjin" as I call him, came home from school and played with us too. What great friends to have. We got to go to ballet with Paige and practice some dance moves. Doesn't Paige look pretty in her ballet outfit??
We love to blow bubbles. Gramma is always good about having the simplest little things around that seem to fascinate us - bubbles are some of those things. Adam is getting better at blowing them and as you can see, I am a champion bubble blower. See those big bubbles in the middle picture?
This past weekend, we went to our Gramma and Grampa's house at the lake. It rained the entire weekend but we didn't care and still had a great time. We always love to go to the "big green lake" no matter what the weather is doing. Mommy took us so that Daddy could get some painting done around the house. It was a great time. Thanks Gramma and Grampa!
Here is a picture of all of us together sitting on the couch - Eric, Kyle, Alex, Adam and Grant. This was quite a feat for our mommies to coordinate. As you will notice, all of us are looking at the camera at the same time and smiling too! This house will not be the same without five little boys running and crawling around. :) Our friends left on Friday afternoon and they will be missed. Hopefully we'll be able to make the trip to their house sometime after baby sister comes.
While baby Kyle was here, I loved to hold him and wanted to hold him often. Mommy made me sit on the couch with lots of pillows around and then I did a great job holding little Kyle. I was so proud of myself. I wuv you, baby Kyle!
Happy Irish Day to you! We made these cool hats at school last week to celebrate St. Patrick's Day early. I love to wear it. Here, I'm dressed to the nine's in my daddy's cowboy boots and my new favorite hat.
Today, my good friend, Eric, came for a visit with his mama and two brothers, Grant who is Adam's age and baby Kyle who is 7 months old. Eric and I have been friends since we were babies and now Adam and Grant are becoming good friends too. We all loved baby Kyle as he was so little and sweet! Having him here was good practice for our new baby sister who will be arriving in May. Our friends used to live closer so we were able to see each other much more often. Now that they have moved to another city in TX, we haven't seen them since July. It was great to see them after such a long time. Here are some pictures of us together. We had so much fun climbing the trees and playing in the sandbox in the backyard. Come back again soon Eric!
Today was Mardi Gras and we had a big party at school. We got to make these great masks with bright feathers, wear beads and eat King cake. It was so much fun. We also learned a little about Lent today too since that will start tomorrow. Hope you all had a fun day!
When we go to our good friend Aurelia's house, we have so much fun. Our mamas and papas enjoy visiting and playing games into the wee hours of the morning. We on the other hand enjoy playing games of our own with each other. Adam seems to be fascinated with "Baby Bella" and all little babies lately - as you can see in the picture. I think he is getting ready for Baby Sister to come. So who really does have more fun at these get togethers? The mamas and papas or the kiddos????? Thanks Ms. Tiffany for the great pix!
On Saturday, we went to one of our new favorite places where they have all of these inflatable bounce houses and slides. I love to climb up to the top of the huge slide and come down "all by myself." Before I come down though, I have to say, "Look at me Mommy!" Here I am up at the top getting ready to slide down. I'm getting to be such a big boy these days.
When my friend Reli and I are at gymnastics, the mamas have a really hard time getting pictures of us because we are so busy and because we are having so much fun running all around. This was one instance where we were both sitting still to have our picture taken. We were waiting for our stamps from Coach Carrie at the end of the class.
On Friday, we met Daddy for lunch at our favorite place, Chili's. After lunch, we were able to climb up onto this hippo they had outside the restaurant. It was very windy and sunny that day so it was hard to keep my eyes open for the picture. Hey mommy - can we get one of these for our backyard?
