Christmas with Grandma Kitty and Grandpa Art
This year, one of the best Christmas presents of all was that Grandma Kitty was able to come home after being with Uncle Eric in Denver for almost one year. We are thrilled to have her back and are looking forward to spending lots of time with her. We're happy for Grandpa Art to have his wife back and very happy for Uncle Eric that he is doing so much better and able to manage on his own. Thank you God for so many miracles! We are truly blessed!

Merry Christmas - a little late!
We hope all of our friends had a wonderful Christmas. We certainly did. Santa was very good to us and we enjoyed spending so much time with our family. Here is a picture of us riding our new Christmas presents. Santa brought me a Green Machine and it is awesome. I can get it going really fast out in the cul-de-sac and then spin out. Adam got a Twist Car. You don't even have to push it with your feet. All you have to do is turn the steering wheel back and forth and that makes it go. Of course, that's not quite fast enough for Adam so he ends up pushing it with his feet to pick up some speed. The weather has been wonderful and one of our new favorite past times is to go out in the cul-de-sac and ride our new toys from Santa.

A family portrait....ehhh, not quite
Trail of Lights!
One of our favorite traditions is to go to the Trail of Lights every year before Christmas. They have so many bright lights and displays and the Christmas tree at the end is the coolest. It was pretty cold last night but we were able to stay nice and warm with our coats and mittens. Daddy thought to bring the wagon and we LOVED riding in there. The picture in the middle of all 4 of us was taken by a nice person at the trail. He kind of didn't get me and Adam in the picture but Mommy and Daddy sure look great! :)

Makin' Cookies
Tonight we helped Mommy make some more Christmas cookies. Daddy is going to take some to work tomorrow but there will still be plenty left for us. I enjoyed helping roll the dough and Adam and Daddy helped unpeel some of the kisses. We also made snickerdoodles! Yummy. It's only 4 more days until Christmas. We can't wait!

Happy Birthday Daddy!
Today we met Daddy and a bunch of his friends from work at Chili's for his birthday party. It was a lot of fun and we were able to have our favorite foods - cheese pizza and macaroni and cheese! We kept wondering where the cake was but the best part was getting to see our Daddy during the work day. Happy Birthday Daddy! We love you lots and lots and lots.

Row Row Row Your Boat
Tonight, we went to Costco with mom and dad. We were able to have cheese pizza for dinner - one of our favorites. After we did all of our shopping and came home, mommy put everything away and then we had these great boxes to play in. We made them into a boat and enjoyed rowing around the kitchen. Mommy says it is amazing how we can find joy in the simplest things!

Our Christmas Pageant
On Tuesday, we had our Christmas pageant at MDO. All of us pre-k kids did a live Nativity Scene. I was a cow and you can see me in the back row with the "Bevo horns" on my head. After we did our skit, the little ones joined us on the stage to sing Jingle Bells and We Wish You a Merry Christmas. You can see little Adam all the way to the left wearing his angel crown and Christmas tree shirt. We all did a great job and the parents were all so proud of us. Even Daddy took some time off work to come and see our pageant. It was so much fun.
An early birthday party for Daddy
Last week, we had an early birthday party for Daddy while Uncle Eric, Grandma Kitty and Grandpa Art were still here. We had steak, baked potatoes, corn and spinach. Boy was it all good (except for the spinach). After dinner, Daddy got to open his present from his family and it was a shop vac. We enjoyed wrapping ourselves in the big piece of wrapping paper and then after that, we really enjoyed helping clean up all the paper scraps with the new shop vac. What fun!

It's Slinky, It's Slinky
Uncle Eric has been here for about 6 weeks and we sure have enjoyed having him around. He teaches us all kinds of new tricks and is lots of fun to play with. Grandma Kitty, Grandpa Art and Uncle Eric were here tonight and Uncle Eric brought us Slinkies. They are awesome and we have thoroughly enjoyed running them down the stairs and over the railing. We were so fortunate to have Uncle Eric here after everything he has been through - it is truly a miracle. He and his mom and dad will be going back to Denver early Saturday morning. We'll miss you Uncle Eric!!
A visit to the doctor
Since the weather was very icy on Thursday, our school was cancelled and so was mommy's doctor appointment. It was rescheduled to today so we were able to go with her and while we were there, we were able to hear the new baby's heartbeat. It was so cool and I was pretty curious about what all that "gooey stuff" on mommy's tummy was while the doctor was listening. I am so curious about the new baby and how he/she is growing and what is going on. I told mom that I know the baby gets all of his food from the "harpsicord" and all the food that mommy eats, the baby eats. I also know that only mommies can have babies because they have "chests." I can't wait for this new baby to come. I really hope I get a sister but mommy keeps telling me that another baby brother would be great too.

Getting our exercise
Today while at the mall, we had to check everything out. One of our favorite things to do there is to ride up and down the escalator and then the elevator. After hitting those attractions, we wanted to "get our exercise" on the different machines at Sears. I was pretty tired after about 10 minutes on the elliptical (sp???) machine but it sure was fun. Of course, once I did it, Adam had to try it out too.
A visit to see Santa
Today, we went to the mall to see "Anta" as Adam calls him. He was such a nice man. I told him what I wanted for Christmas and then I told him what Adam wanted. Adam was not so sure about sitting on his lap. Once he saw that Santa had M&M's, he had no problem climbing right up there with me. This is the first year where no tears were involved with seeing Santa! When I was little, I cried and Adam cried last year. This year, we both did so well sitting with Santa!

Who needs a fork????
Tonight, we had spaghetti and meatballs - one of my favorite meals. It's kind of hard for me to wind up the spaghetti on my fork so I have created my own way to eat the strands of scrumptious pasta. I take one strand at a time and then suck it into my mouth. Mommy says it makes a big mess but I don't care - it tastes sooooo gooood!
